FAQs

DELTA 9 THC

WHAT IS DELTA 9 THC?

Without even knowing, most people who are referring to “THC” are actually talking about the Delta 9 THC variant. That’s because THC stands for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Within the cannabis plant, there are more than 500 substances and 100 different cannabinoid molecules, and THC is just one of them. And because marijuana and hemp are both part of the cannabis family tree, THC can be derived from either source. This is important to note because all Snoozy Delta 9 products are derived from hemp and considered federally compliant. Compared to its cousins Delta 8 and Delta 10, Delta 9 can be found in much higher concentrations within the cannabis plant. This means that in order to create a product where there are lasting effects, Delta 9 THC can be naturally extracted through a simple process. On the other hand, Delta 8 and Delta 10 must be synthetically recreated to formulate products with lasting effects. Since you are getting the most natural form of the Delta 9 THC, the products that are made with it tend to be less manufactured with fewer additives. These products have many of the same benefits of our original broad spectrum options, with up to 10 mg of THC. CBD and THC work together which results in a more well-rounded, enhanced experience.

DOES DELTA 9 GET YOU HIGH?

When people talk about THC, they are mainly talking about the Delta 9 variant of THC. If you ingest enough THC, you will feel the "high" feeling associated with it. Our edibles have a range of 5mg to 15mg of THC, so a high will be felt if you ingest them.

WHICH IS STRONGER, DELTA 8 OR DELTA 9?

Delta 9 THC is occurs naturally and abundantly in hemp. Delta 8 THC is also naturally occurring in hemp, but at much lower concentrations when compared to Delta 9 THC. So, Delta 8 has to be created synthetically. Because of this, we can create products with Delta 9 THC without having to synthetically recreate it, which makes our products less manufactured and more potent than Delta 8 THC products.

IS DELTA 9 BAD FOR YOU?

We think Delta 9 THC can be good for many people. However, just like in anything in life, there can be too much of a good thing. We recommend sticking to our serving sizes to avoid any negative effects, but you can adjust your serving as needed after a few weeks. Slow and steady wins the race!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DELTA 9?

Delta 9 THC can work with your endocannabinoid system to give you a sense of calm and feeling of balance within yourself. Delta 9 THC has also been attested to help to support quality of sleep, moods, appetite, stress management, and relief from minor discomfort.

DOES DELTA 9 SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST?

Our Delta 9 edibles do contain THC, which can show up on a drug test. This may result in a consumer who is being tested for marijuana to fail a drug test. If drug testing is part of your life, you can still get many of the same benefits from our 0% THC Gummies, Disposables, and Cartridges that contains 0 THC.

IS IT LEGAL TO PURHCASE DELTA 9?

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, it is federally legal to purchase Delta 9 THC as long as it is under the legal limit of 0.3% of dry weight. Our Delta 9 products are well within that standard. Due to federal restrictions, we cannot ship certain products to Utah and Virginia.

IS DELTA 9 THC LEGAL?

Short answer: When it’s derived from hemp in concentrations of less than 0.3% by dry weight, yes! In 2018 Congress passed the 2018 Farm Bill, which removed hemp as a federally controlled substance. It also says that any hemp and hemp-derived products that contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight are considered federally legal in the United States. By this definition, all of our Delta 9 THC products are federally compliant under the standards set by the 2018 Farm Bill. Let’s do the math: One JOLLY 1:1 Delta 9 THC:CBD gummy weighs about 6 grams, or 6000 milligrams. If we take 0.003 (which is 0.3%) and multiply that by 6000, we are left with 18 milligrams. That means that according to the Farm Bill, a 6 gram gummy can contain up to 18 mg of hemp-derived Delta 9 THC. We formulated our Delta 9 gummies with 15mg of Delta 9 THC, which means the amount of THC we use in our gummies is well below the legal amount. But don’t worry, you’ll still feel it working!

CBD & CANNABINOIDS

WHAT IS A CANNABINOID?

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds secreted by cannabis flowers that are believed to provide relief to an array of symptoms including pain, nausea, anxiety, and inflammation. These work their medicinal magic by imitating compounds our bodies naturally produce, called endocannabinoids, which activate to maintain internal stability and health.
